THE HISTORY OF CAKEWORKS

Cakeworks Inc. is a local Calgary based small business, born in 1993. For 20 years, we have been grateful to have the opportunity to provide the community with their "ideas in icing!" Our licensed bakery & storefront is located in northeast Calgary.

To date we have grown through four expansions from 5 cakes a week to more than 200 a week at present ... it has been an interesting adventure!

We have been fortunate enough to have some of the same clients now as when we started. It has been humbling for us to make someone's wedding cake for them, their baby's christening cake, their first birthday, second birthday, third, fourth, fifth, etc. We have people bring in their photo album with their collection of Cakeworks cakes they have bought or received over the years. We get to watch families grow, and somehow we were a tiny part of it.

We have also had the good fortune to be involved with media segments throughout the years which have included our wedding cakes and birthday cakes.
